Vdownload has no user accounts and no database of users. We do not ask for your name, your email address or any other personal detail in order to use the service. Downloaded files are not kept on our servers, and your download history never leaves your own browser.
The service stores a small amount of data locally on your device using your browser's local storage. This data is never transmitted to us and we cannot read it:
You can erase all of it at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings, or by using the clear button on the download history itself.
When you submit a link, our server contacts the source platform to read the available formats, and then streams the file you choose through to your browser. The file passes through memory in transit; it is not written to disk and no copy is retained once the transfer finishes.
Your IP address is processed transiently in order to apply rate limits, which is what prevents a single visitor from overwhelming the service. These counters are held in memory, expire automatically within the rate-limiting window, and are not used to build any profile of you. Server logs record failed requests for diagnostic purposes.
Because we hold no account and no personal record of you, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete on request. The data associated with your use of this service lives in your own browser and is under your direct control. If you believe we hold information about you and would like it addressed, contact us at the address below.
This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. Questions about privacy can be sent to the address below.
